Mike Hillwig is a former Microsoft Data Platform MVP and a member of the Microsoft MVP Reconnect program. He’s the DBA Manager for a financial software company owned by one of the world’s leading financial institutions.
Mike brings close to twenty years of IT experience and more than fifteen years of database experience to the table. Mike has worked with SQL Server, MySQL, and Lotus Notes/Domino. His first experience with SQL Server was version 7. In DBA years, that makes him old.
Outside of work, Mike is an avid cook, has an obsession with reality TV, and is owned by two Pugs named Reggie and Ruby.
Andy is a SQL Server DBA that has managed databases in the healthcare, finance, e-commerce, and non-profit sectors. Since 2003, Andy has been supporting high-volume, highly-available OLTP environments with demanding performance needs.
Andy has a passion for performance tuning and automation. When he’s not elbow-deep in T-SQL, he is playing with PowerShell and Azure.
After work, Andy and his husband Ken are regulars at several Boston-area restaurants, where they are on a first-name basis with the entire staff. If Andy isn’t doing something database-related, he is doing something food-related.
